Sinusitis.. *gasp*

Hello people..

Today I 'm gonna talk about something that I'm gonna live with for the rest of my life. I've accepted it as a part of me and actually I think it's rather funny coz it is as if my nose have a life of its own or something.

It started off with a migraine. I thought it was one of those normal migraines because I heard a lot about it from my mum. Days goes by and the pain had gone form bad to worst. Half of my face was swollen and my eyes were watery. It even scared my friends because they had never seen anything like that related to migraine. It had affected me a lot in my studies as the pain would get worst when I'm stressed out.

Even my Chemistry teacher didn't understand what I had to go through. There's this one time, half of my face was in so much pain that I had to cover it up with my hands just to make it feel better. I actually got scolded for that because my teacher thought that I was sleeping and not paying attention in class. I didn't bother to answer back since it was too painful.

So, I told my mum about it and she took me to a family doctor, Dr Nadia.

Before that, my brother did a research and he told me that it could be aneurysm or sinusitis.

I was keeping my fingers crossed for sinusitis instead of aneurysm.

What's aneurysm??? According to Wikipedia,

"Aneurysm is a localized, blood-filled dilation (balloon-like bulge) of a blood vessel caused by disease or weakening of the vessel wall. Aneurysms most commonly occur in arteries at the base of the brain (the circle of Willis) and in the aorta (the main artery coming out of the heart, an aortic aneurysm). As the size of an aneurysm increases, there is an increased risk of rupture, which can result in severe hemorrhage, other complications or even death."

One of the ways, to cure or reduce the magnitude of the pain is through surgery, which means they'll open up your head and try their best to remove the dilation in the brain. My brother even said that I wouldn't be able to study and do sports anymore if I have aneurysm.

So... Dr Nadia told me to do an MRI scan at Normah Medical Specialist Centre so that she could identify the main cause of the problem.

MRI is cool. But you gotta stay still and not move for less than half an hour. The knocking, rapping sound was kinda freaky but funny at the same time as try to make silly music out of it.

I gotta say that the staff of Normah Specialist Centre are really helpful, kudos to them. Plus, I'm a "Normah baby" so I'm given some kind of priority and better services. YAY!

So, I got the MRI results and went straight to Dr Nadia.

DRUM ROLLS PLEASE!!!

Maxillary Sinusitis which can cause pressure on the cheek area, causes toothaches and headaches.

Well, at least it is better than aneurysm. Like what they say, "When life gives you lemon, you make lemonade".

According to Wikipedia,

"Sinusitis is inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, which may be due to infectionallergy or autoimmune issues"

So, I started using nasal spray. When the first bottle of nasal spray was finished, my nose felt better and I thought that it was healed. It was practically the worst thing I've decided to do. I stopped using the nasal spray for a while.

Recently, the pain at the cheek area relapse and it was worst. I had this thick greenish-yellow discharge coming out from my nose which block the nostrils and became hard for me to breathe, especially at night.

The sinusitis got worst when it started to bleed.

Back to Dr Nadia....

"My dear... Why didn't you continue using your nasal spray??? You have very bad allergies so you shouldn't stop using it.. So I'm gonna give you some pills to reduce the inflammation and a nasal spray okay??".

This is how it looks like...

Mine looks something like that...
I actually thought that I lost my sense of smell because of the nasal spray. But, Dr Nadia told me that it is because of the sinus itself. The inflammation was so bad that it block the upper nasal cavity, so I can't smell anything not even ammonia. That was how bad it was.

But now, I've taken the medication and also the nasal spray.

This is actually how you use a nasal spray

AND I CAN SMELL!!!!!!!! Finally...

I can't expose myself to dust and all that because I'm allergic to it. Like yesterday, me and my mum cleaned my brother's house. I started to have flu-like symptoms but I thought it was normal. Not till I came back and found blood in my nose.

I guess I do have a valid reason not to take TEKNOLOGI INDUSTRI KERATAN KAYU after all. I wouldn't wanna wear a protective suit everyday...

Till next time..

You got me thinking....

Holla!!!

So.... My mama is a member of the Lions International under the Lions Club of Kuching Ixora... They are actually an NGO group with missions and vissions to improve the lives of the poor and the needy... So, recently my mama got elected as the Club Secretary... AGAIN...

One of their topics during their meeting is the Fund Raising Project... So THAT got me thinking of ideas and such (Maybe I should become an event planner)... One of my ideas is to have a charity ball... Like one of those grand charity ball  and Kiss on the Lips Party in Gossip Girl... But what theme???

So I put on my thinking hat...

TADA!!! A halloween party!!!!

Why not right?? I mean.. Halloweens are vastly celebrated in Kuching already and it's no doubt a big event...

So... Invite those awesome DJs from KL... And provide good food and entertainment... Have the dance groups perform "thriller"... Since Michael Jackson is still a hot thing in Asia... I won't be surprised if teens, young adults and sporting adults would come and enjoy their Halloween Night...

It would be so memorable as you would see people in awesome costumes... It'll be so much fun if we can have sponsors from different companies and hav the dining hall amazingly pimp out Halloween style..

It'll be even better if the food and drinks would also have the Halloween theme... Like Eye Ball Cocktail or Spider Chicken.. There's so many things that you can think of when it comes to Halloween...

Idea Number 2?????

Masquerade Charity Ball!! Open for man and women of ALL AGES!!! It'll be a classy event.. With amazing dresses and black tie suits... Not to forget.. MASKS!!

There'll be DJs and amazing aerial ribbon performers... Darn!! It sure cost alot... :) But what the heck.. When there's a will, there's a way!!

This idea is actually from Gossip Girl.. AGAIN... It's amazin'....

But the main problem??? Selling the idea to the Board of Directors... You'll need FULL SUPPORT from the Board and a GOOD COMMITTEE to handle this project... But then, it'll be an event that Kuching would surely remember if it happens.. :)

Finger crossed...

Phew!! Just needed to let that idea out..

If the event does happen???? I would dress up as Barbie Doll for the Halloween Party (Everything PINK!) and dress up like Blair or Serena for the Masquerade Ball.... And i just watched a make up tutorial from Michelle Phan on Youtube.. She's amazing.. And so is the make up... Totally FAB...

Oh My....

Yesterday was like a disaster... For real.. I got news that the result for the University intake would be out around 12noon yesterday... So i was like "Orite... Bring it on Mister!!"..

12smtg...

I logged on into the UPU website... My heart going like dub dab dub dab throughout the whole freaking time... Then...

TAHNIAH!! ANDA TELAH DITAWAR KURSUS SARJANA MUDA TEKNOLOGI INUDSTRI KERATAN KAYU

And I was like "You gotta be kidding me"... "MAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

My mum quickly saw the post and she was like speechless... Damn! The fact that I didn't apply for that stupid course made me uber angry... I specifically stated that I don't want any other courses besides Medic (or any course with Bio in it)...

So... I got rejected twice from UiTM.. Right now, I'm lost for words.. Got no clue what to do.. It's like a dead end.. I just have to find another way and build a new path...

One of my friend told me to look out for other courses like Law??? Architecture?? Wowwee...

But yesterday was horrible.. Cause I know I am capable of achieving greatness.. Unfortunately, not in the Uni that I wanted.. Plus, I wanna go to and Ivy League University just like my brother... Sigh..

I got through yesterday.. One step at a time.. But one song kept me going and got me thinking about other options.. "Believe" by The Bravery.. I actually heard that song through Gossip Girl... :) Big influence in me..

A new beginning??? i don't think so...

Im back!!!

Well, most of my friends are of to college or university by now... Me?? Still stuck at home.. Not to worry.. I have just found my new hobby.. The best so far... Drum rolls please...

Yes... Gossip girl... Love it to the core!!

"Gossip girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite."

From Serena Van der Woodsen to Blair Waldorf.. I just love love love the scandals and of course I can't help but love the way they live in Manhattan's Upper East Side... Totally my new dream and goal... Not to forget the fabulous clothes that they wear..

Blair Waldorf

Her style is "classic, preppy and polished". Forget about jeans when it comes to Blair Waldorf. She would prefer well-tailored classic dresses with tights and of course her legendary headband. Blair wouldn't be Blair without her signature Queen headband. Plus, her super smooth hair. Perfection is key.

Serena Van Der Woodsen

Miss Serena however is said to have a "Kate Moss Inspired" look with a pinch of boho-chic and rocker look. Her signature piece??? Well-cut jackets is a must and not to forget skinny jeans and a fabulous handbag to go with it. Even if she's spotted with a dress, i bet it'll be with studded details. Bangles and layered necklaces also her defines her. Oh! That hair! Gorgeous messy blonde is the way to go.

Georgina Sparks

Hands down. Georgina's style is totally FIERCE!! How can you not say that when you see her with those leather jackets, studded details, bad-ass shades and not to forget dem killer heels. Awesome to the core and my idol. Quote from Blair "Jesus dumped you coz he found out that you're Satan", there's no doubt she has the wicked fashion on GG. Oh fyi, fashion tips include dark-eyed makeup and black nail polish.

All the cat fights.. What about the boys??? Hold on tight girls...

Presenting Chuck Bass, Nate Archibald and Dan Humphrey

Who do I pick?? The bad boy of course.. Chuck Bass... Oh how I love to hear him say "I'm Chuck Bass"

Sexy voice, killer eyes and that bad boy attitude is just irresistible don't you think??

Owh heck.. I've just started on Season 3 and I'm so excited for Season 4. The things that'll keep me busy. I loike!

Till next time.. XOXO.. :)
